The House of Rayne
holds an ongoing permanent RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION of approximately 80
original pieces, including Clocks, Sculpture and Paintings, some of which
appear on this web site. These can be viewed by appointment and are also
included in The House of Rayne's midsummer exhibition party.
2005
and 2006 Exhibition Parties:
further totalling £450 have be used to design a Custom made clock for the reception area of Cambridge Universities ‘Centre for Brain Repair’ (see photos on recent Commission page)
The Clock (worth £850), will be presented to the Centre (and installed) on Friday 11 May 2007. Full details will be featured in the July issue of the British Horological Journal together with examples of previous commissions

Colin Rayne

PhD, representing Cambridge University's Centre for Brain Repair
at the 2004 Midsummer Exhibition party.
The final
amount raised was £350.

Professor James
Fawcett, is chairman of the Brain Repair Centre at Cambridge
University.
His research aims to
develop treatments for Spinal Cord Injuries by making it possible
for cut nerve fibres to regenerate after they are damaged.
His specialty is identifying
ways to dissolve the glial scar that forms where the spinal cord
is injured, and which blocks nerve fibre regeneration.
He is also involved
in the new plasticity programme, whose aim is to develop treatments
to improve recovery from Head Injury and Stroke.
